PBGH was founded in Harrisonburg, Virginia in September 1963. In December of 1984, the firm opened its Fredericksburg, Virginia office. Effective October 1, 1999 the firm acquired the Warrenton office of Drunagel, Johnson, Rutherford & Wilkins, PLC.
The firm expanded further effective January 15, 2001, with the acquisition of the Harrisonburg office of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP. The firm name was formally changed from Phibbs, Burkholder, Geisert, and Huffman to PBGH, LLP as of January 15, 2001.
An opportunity for the firm to grow in the Northern Virginia area began in August 2007 upon the acquisition of Schwartz Weissman and Company, LLC in Fairfax Virginia.
PBGH has over 40 years of experience providing clients with exceptional service and expertise in tax, accounting, and advisory services.
We are organized as a limited liability partnership consisting of seventeen partners, each of whom has direct client service responsibilities, plus approximately 95 professionals and support staff. We have four offices in the Commonwealth: Fredericksburg, Harrisonburg, Warrenton and Fairfax, Virginia.
