Dan is a native of Rockingham County having graduated from Turner Ashby High School in 1976. He graduated from Bridgewater College with honors in 1980 with a B.S. in Business Administration.

Upon graduation, Dan joined PBGH. He passed the CPA exam in the spring of 1982 and currently serves as Audit/Technology Partner. He has specialized in the audits of colleges and universities as well as many other not-for-profits. Dan has also specialized in the application of computer systems in small businesses.

Dan is on the Board of Directors and is Treasurer of the Center for Marriage and Family Counseling and Shenandoah Valley Technology Council. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Virginia Society of CPAs.

Dan and his family live east of Harrisonburg.
