Community involvement - PBGH is a socially responsible and involved organization. We realize that participation in the everyday activities of the communities in which we are located is essential to building strong relationships which benefit everyone.

We encourage our staff to become involved in a civic or charitable organization which they are passionate about.

One firm-wide charity that PBGH supports is the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Each year our offices fundraiser and walk in support of cancer research and education.

The Harrisonburg office of PBGH, LLP will be volunteering at Stuff the Bus on Sunday, 8/7/2011, from 5-8 pm. In the meantime, we’ve been collecting donations and school supplies to bring with us to help “stuff” the bus.

The Fredericksburg office participated in The Free Lance-Star's annual "Soap Box Derby" event for its first time on June 12th, 2010.

Business Operation Workshops - PBGH often shares best practices and seminars to assist businesses in their day-to-day operations. These seminars are presented by our firm experts in their field of expertise and provide tangible knowledge for CFO's, Bookkeepers, Controllers, etc to take back into your business to assist in efficiency and opportunities for improvement within your business' accounting department.
- Below is some information and background from the seminar presented in October of 2010 which was on succession planning from the point of view of a father (aka Successful Sam) deciding whether to sell to his daughter (Nicola Nickelbach) or sell to third party (Big Bucks Bob).
